Genetic counseling is the process by which patients or their relatives who are at risk for a hereditary disease are identified and the possibility of creating disorders, mode of transmission, prevention or treatment of the disorder is recognized. Actually, the cost of prevention of the birth of children with disabilities with specific genetic counseling and medical tests before marriage is much less than the cost of treating these diseases.
